I'll start:
I'm Judit Nemes, creator of Room for Balance; personal trainer and group fitness instructor with over 26 years of experience. I have been actively working as a Pilates instructor for 20 years, and I am still constantly deepening my knowledge of how we can improve our health- and fitness level. As a Functional Nutrition Therapist, I believe, that Whole Food Nutrition - free from extremes-, is the best sustainable way towards a healthy body.
I started my fitness journey at the age of 9, when I attended my very first gymnastic class. It was love at first sight, and I stuck with sports since then.
During the years I was growing with the new challenges, and I was able to accommodate a wide range of clients – but I always felt the most confident, when I worked with my given age group.
I have learnt to understand and accept the fact that our exercise and diet regimes need to change as we mature, and that our body needs very different stimuli than it did in our twenties.
Staying in the fitness industry past the age of 50 has brought new challenges for me; firstly, the realisation that I need a longer recovery period even after an intense workout - not to mention coming back from an injury; and more recently, accepting the hormonal changes that affect us women when the time comes.
I've realised, that the peri-menopause phase can be stressful for most women. That's why my programmes are specifically aimed at peri- and postmenopausal women. I understand the physical-, emotional and hormonal changes, that accompany this phase and the struggles that often arise when we try to prioritize self-care.
Having witnessed firsthand the transformative power of physical activity, I am passionate about helping women like you, regain control of their health and well-being. Whether you are new to exercise or have experienced setbacks due to life-events, or injuries, I am well-versed in supporting your journey to functional betterment in the joints and muscles.
My commitment to your success goes beyond just being a fitness instructor. I am constantly updating my knowledge and skills, taking courses in all areas relevant to a healthy lifestyle.
In 2004, I became a certified personal trainer and started to deepen my knowledge as a nutritionist, enabling me to provide holistic guidance towards achieving my clients’ health and fitness goals.
When I created ROOM for Balance, my vision was – and still is – to help as many women as possible, as I know through my own experience, that we can feel lost in the ocean of information regarding health-, fitness-, nutrition-, lifestylechange-, stress-management, and menopause.
As I deepened my knowledge of human nature, I also realised that psychology plays a huge role in our health-related choices, so my programmes are based on habit building.
I am determined that I will provide you the best and most up-to-date news from the field of science: regarding breathing, nutrition, sleep and training - and behaviour around lifestyle. These are the main pillars on which I want to build a strong foundation, so that you can always emerge victorious from the other side - whatever difficulties life throws at you.
